STATEMENT

“TRANS BOOKS” has been held since 2017 as a book fair where various books in electronic and non-electronic formats are sold.

How has the relationship between us, books, and the act of reading evolved? When the iPad and Kindle started to become popular, there was a tendency to think that all paper-based media would eventually be replaced by digital media. However, users today can freely choose their preferred media, method of purchasing books, and reading experience from increasingly many options.

“Books” serve to connect people and information, and will continue to expand with the times. This book fair was launched with the goal of further exploring forms of expression and communication unique to “books” that exemplify their own eras.

“TRANS BOOKS” considers “books” to be a profoundly expressive platform and aims to be a place where you enjoy the diversity, possibilities, and fun of being surrounded by books that you come into contact with.

“What kinds of books and reading experiences are available now?” We have requested authors willing to handle this theme to produce new and published books that will be sold at the fair. Talk events will also be held to explore the current state of “books.”

We hope that you can spend a productive time at “TRANS BOOKS” thinking about books and reading.
